The Walton Middle School tribe welcomed next year's sixth grade Warriors and their families by hosting a Middle School Jump Title 1 parent training night on Thursday, February 16th, from 5:30-7:30. Families from Maude Saunders, Mossy Head, and West DeFuniak Elementary filled the lunchroom to kick-off the standing-room-only event.

First, attendees enjoyed pizza for dinner before rotating through three information-packed stations. WMS administrators Mr. Jason Campbell and Mr. Scott Hulion hosted a "Getting Ready to Jump" session in the lunchroom, providing parents with valuable insights into what to expect at WMS. Then guidance counselor Mrs. Jodi Howell led a rotation in the band room centered around WMS' exciting course offerings. Finally, families had the opportunity to have some fun, visiting the clubs, electives, and sports fair in the gym. Numerous booths from around the tribe offered helpful information, demonstrations, and hands-on learning opportunities to spark excitement for the school's up-and-coming Warriors.

The success of the Title 1 event was only possible thanks to the time and effort of many faculty, staff, and student volunteers.

We are one tribe, on one mission, rising with excitement about all that awaits these new Warriors next school year. 2023-2024 shines with possibility for WMS.
