Walton County Emergency Management is hosting Build-A-Bucket on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Hammock Bay in Freeport! 🪣✨

This FREE, family-friendly preparedness fair is designed to help residents build their own disaster kits while connecting with local partners and businesses that support our community before, during, and after disasters.

🔥 Live fire extinguisher training
🩹 Stop the Bleed training (pre-registration required)

🐾🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Our FMS Cross Country Team had a HUGE afternoon at Eagle Springs Golf Course in DeFuniak Springs yesterday!

✨ The Bulldogs brought home first place finishes in BOTH the Girls and Boys races!
💙 Aria Schmidt dominated the course, finishing 50 seconds ahead of the next closest runner.
🧡 Tristan Vital battled to the finish line, edging out second place by just one second.

This marks the first time in school history that we’ve had two individual first-place finishes in a single event! 🔥🐾

👏 Way to represent, Bulldogs!

🎉 Exciting News from Freeport Middle School! 🎉

Our art program just fired up a brand-new kiln! Ms. Cawiezell’s Advanced Art students were the first to test it out by creating whimsical pinch pot critters. After bisque firing and glazing, their creations came to life with color and shine. Next up—students are setting their sights on making mugs! For many, this is their very first experience with ceramics, and the excitement in the studio is unmistakable. Here’s to many more clay creations ahead!

📢 FAST Testing Coming Up! 📢 We are just one week away from the administration of PM1 of the FAST Test. 📝 ELA – Wednesday, September 3rd ➗ Math – Thursday, September 4th All grade levels will be testing on these days. Please help us set our students up for success by making sure they are present, on time, and well rested. 🏈🎽 It’s Game Day, Bulldogs! 🎽🏈 This afternoon our Cross Country team kicks off their 2025 season at Freeport High School at 4:30 PM, competing against all the district teams. Later tonight, our Football team travels to Holmes County to take on Bonifay at 6:00 PM. 🎶 Exciting day for our Beginning Band students! 🎶 Saturday, our band students had the chance to look at, try out, and select their very own instruments for the upcoming school year. ⚾💪 Baseball Workouts Begin! 💪⚾

Baseball workouts will start Thursday, August 21, 2025 and will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in the FMS weight room. Workouts begin right after school and end at 4:00 PM.

👉 These will be strength and conditioning workouts only (no baseball gear needed).
👉 Students must have a valid sports physical and extracurricular waiver on file.
👉 Open to 6th–8th grade students.
