Students in third grade at West DeFuniak Elementary had the opportunity to hear from North Walton Mosquito Control on the mosquito’s life cycle, types of mosquitos in our area, ways they prevent illness from spreading, and ways to spot areas where mosquitos can lay their eggs.

ECMS Perennial Math Team Member Jireh Paul (pictured left) was recently recognized for earning a near perfect score on the January test.  She is now on the Perennial Math Website “Wall of Fame.”

Students participated in the final national competition on Friday, Feb. 19^th, and the team did very well. Ava Razavi (pictured right) won special honors for earning a near perfect score on the February test. Ava will be featured on the “Wall of Fame” on the Perennial Math website.

The Atlantic Coast Theater performed for students at West DeFuniak Elementary School.  Students enjoyed “The Mysterious Smile of Mona Lisa” which explored the art, science and music of the original Renaissance Man, Leonardo Da Vinci.
