A fun-filled first day of school was had by all the WISE Center Pre-K students. It began with breakfast, then moved on to learning and ended with rock climbing. Submitted by Debbie McBroom.
Teachers at West DeFuniak are placing an emphasis on grammar this year. In an effort to encourage students and staff to promote better punctuation and grammar, Principal Darlene Paul ordered new shirts for all of her staff. Shirts proudly proclaim Let's eat grandma. Let's eat, Grandma. Punctuation saves lives. Grandma probably prefers the second punctuation! WDE second grade students in Mrs. Dawkins’ class enjoyed a team-building activity called “Newspaper Towers”. Students competed against each other by constructing towers using only newspapers and tape. This activity involves creativity, coordination, and teamwork!
