The ladies of the 7th Grade Team at ECMS brought smiles to their students’ faces on Halloween. The “Wizards of 7th Grade” are a talented group of teachers that make learning fun for their students. Printed on the back of their shirts is the phrase, “The Pursuit of Excellence Continues”. Even while having fun, these teachers communicate high expectations to their students. ECMS is lucky to have these “Wizards of Knowledge” and would like to thank them for all they do for our students!!!

The Walton County School District is proud to announce that 5 of our schools have been selected by the Florida Department of Education as "Schools of Excellence."

Schools are designated as Schools of Excellence if the school’s percentage of possible points earned in its school grade calculation is in the 80th percentile or higher for schools comprised of the same grade groupings (elementary, middle, high, and combination) for at least two of the last three school years if the school meets the qualifying criteria.

Congratulations to Van R. Butler Elementary, Emerald Coast Middle School, Seaside Neighborhood School, South Walton High School, and Freeport High School for receiving this high honor!
