VRB Student Council Food Drive

November 17, 2017

The Student Council at Van R. Butler Elementary School conducted a food drive to help fill the food pantry at Caring and Sharing of South Walton.  Students throughout the entire school donated canned and boxed non-perishable foods to help support families in the community who need support throughout the holiday season. On the evening of Thursday, Nov. 16, the Walton High School AVID students and their families gathered for the first annual AVID Family Thanksgiving. Every family brought something to add to the Thanksgiving table and Lauran Hebert, a senior AVID student, expressed her gratitude to all the AVID Elective teachers: Mr. & Mrs. Carnley, Mrs. Zodrow, Ms. Bare, and Mr. Cooper. It was a beautiful time of food, fun, and fellowship! #WHSAVIDstrong Submitted by Christy English.
