Mr. Hope, FHS Principal, serves ice cream to 10th grade FHS students who increased their STAR test scores by 75% or more. Submitted by Patty Woodard.
South Walton High School will be sending two representatives to the State Academic Team Championship in April. Sophomore Nadia Bock and Senior Jordan Nichols will be on the six-member team. Submitted by Barbara Stratton.
Freeport High School’s Shannon ‘Junior’ Carswell recently signed a full-ride football scholarship with the University of Southern Mississippi. Shannon is the only football player who signed a Division 1 FBS scholarship from Walton County this year. Congratulations Shannon!

On Thursday, February 1st, Paxton's Sound of the Pride elementary chorus led Paxton fans in the National Anthem before their game versus Holmes County. It was a proud moment for all Bobcats! Submitted by Kalli McMillan.

Freeport Middle School Art Department and teacher Mrs. Kendra Peloquin hosted a whole school art show and exhibit for the entire school to enter. The theme of the show was "My Personality." First through third places and prizes were awarded to each of the fifth through eighth grade levels. Many students participated and were excited to see their work on exhibit in the cafeteria.
