MSE hosted an EPIC “Dads Bring Your Child to School Day” on September 26th, with over 250 dads, granddads, and other male role models participating in classroom activities with their children. Submitted by Krisy Spence

The Bobcat family would like to extend a congratulations to the September Students of the Month. These three students have been an EPIC example of Pride, Passion, and Purpose every day. These students have shown their teachers that they are responsible, respectful, willing to help others, and have good attendance. These three students strive to complete their work at the best of their ability.

AVID students in grades 6th - 12th had the opportunity to attend College Night at Northwest Florida State College. The students were able to talk with representatives from different colleges and universities and gather information for their prospective school careers. Submitted by Kalli McMillan

On Wednesday, Sept. 26, students at West DeFuniak Elementary participated in Donuts with Dad. Students in first grade were given the opportunity to show their dads what a normal morning looks like, including AR testing, XtraMath, and writing in a journal. Students in Mrs. McKee's Kindergarten class at West DeFuniak Elementary are learning about the letter Tt. Students are covering the Tt with tissue paper. This multisensory activity also helps students with their fine motors skills when they tear the tissue paper. MSE participated in the Coastal Cleanup by cleaning up the Wee Care Park. As they collected, they recorded their findings to be included in the state database that documents the benefits of Coastal Cleanup Day. Submitted by Krisy Spence

Paxton Key Club members participated in United Way's Annual Day of Caring by completing beautification projects on Paxton’s campus. The members, along with adviser Laurie Gilbert and Chelco Marketing manager, Bryan Gilbert completed various projects around the campus.
