On February 20^th, the Freeport Middle School National Junior Honor Society helped move approximately 500 bags of oyster shells to spread across over 20 feet of shoreline. Their efforts helped to create a natural reef for our bay, and assists in protecting and preserving the shoreline. Along with using recycled oyster shells, it helps filter the water in the most natural way.
